New York Fashion designers used leather as a versatile fabric reworked into dresses, skirts, and tailored separates. Collections leaned into bold textures and finishes, showing leather’s adaptability in both edgy streetwear and elevated luxury contexts. Across runways, leather was paired with knits, silks, and layered tailoring, underscoring its relevance as fashion continues to balance durability, craftsmanship, and style.

Milan closed on a reflective note with Giorgio Armani’s final show. Louise Trotter made a strong debut at Bottega Veneta by celebrating the 50th anniversary of its signature Intrecciato weave, reimagined across garments and accessories with refined craftsmanship. Tod showcased exceptional leathers, used like fabric to create draped dresses. Ferragamo drew on Jazz Age inspiration with stylized animal prints, fringes, and tailoring rooted in 1920s glamour, confirming leather and texture as standout themes.

Paris had houses from heritage luxury to avant-garde labels experimenting with leather as both statement and staple. Designers reimagined classic black leather in sculptural coats and sharp tailoring, while others pushed boundaries with colored, embossed, and patchworked versions that blurred the line between fabric and skin. Leather appeared also in dresses, skirts, and accessories, often styled with softer textiles to highlight contrast. The season confirmed leather’s enduring place in Parisian fashion — elevated, innovative, and central to how brands balanced heritage craftsmanship with modern edge.
