The Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) is pleased to announce it has been awarded $1.65 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the newly established American First Trade Promotion Program.
This key investment will support LHCA's ongoing efforts to further diversify export destinations and expand U.S. market share in the global leather and hides market. As a byproduct of the U.S. cattle industry, building global demand for U.S. hides, skins, and leather supports agricultural producers and workers across the country.
"We are extremely grateful for our partnership with USDA and their efforts to turn around the current agricultural trade deficit," said Kerry Brozyna, President of the Leather and Hide Council of America. "AFTPP funding will allow us to scale up our promotional activities in key markets, ensuring that American hides and leather remain the premier choice for global manufacturers and consumers who value sustainability, quality, and heritage."
LHCA joins the agricultural export community in commending USDA's proactive approach to export promotion.
